Seems like a good product; problem is there is no light schedule option, like the A19 smart bulbs. I am not talking about the motion Alert scheduling. I have the Daylight detection turn all the way down (minimally light should stop) and it stills goes off in the morning multiple times. I have to have the motion setting turned to high because the medium setting doesn't detect until you are almost 2 feet from the light. which is well past the vehicle side I am trying to light up bc of the CA criminals. Batteries aren't going to last and D cells are $$$.Ring PLEASE update the software and ADD a light schedule option that will turn detection on/off when we want. should be minor work, copy paste from Smart bulb, push out on next app update. Not good to have to manually turn detection off or remember to turn it on at night, if forgotten it defeats the whole security purpose. Our Ring flood Cam doesn't detects the side of the vehicle when they sneak up from the far side driveway. If you do I will change review to 5 stars. Thank you!Motion sensor is very sensitive even on low but it’s worth the money. The light brightness is adjustable within the app and can be linked to other motion lights or camerasVery easy to install and setup. Great functionality. I linked all three I installed together. Takes 4 D cells and battery life seems really good.Bought this as a wedding gift for friends with a chicken coup and I am happy to report that they have had nothing but great things to say about it. It helps them keep an eye out for their chickens and has deterred other animals from getting to them.I had to get the Ring Bridge when I wanted the Ring motion detector, and getting the bundle was like getting one spotlight free, so I went with this bundle. — The order was split as $30.37 for the *two* spotlights (a great deal) and $38.45 for the bridge (another good deal compared to its actual price, but I was not happy with these tings requiring the bridge in the first place). I wish the spotlights used the Ring batteries; maybe someone at Ring will create an adapter to fit inside, but I doubt it. I have only had the spotlights about 18 days, so I don't know what the battery life is. The icon shows full or almost full, but it doesn't give the % as other Ring products show.I don't particularly agree with other review complaints about the spotlights' being too heavy or not well constructed. My only complaint about the construction would be that the lid for the battery case is difficult to snap in straight.I have one spotlight installed in the corner under the roof ceiling above my front door and the other mounted on top of a corner fence post aimed down and a bit left into my patio. It's about 20 to 21 feet from the fence post to where motion is detected, which means the spotlight comes on as I take my second step out the patio door and detects motion when my collie goes out the doggie door at the bottom of the patio storm door...or comes back in! Also, I only had the repetitious periodic false motion detections (see my reviews of the Ring Doorbell 2 and the Ring Outdoor Motion Detector) on the patio spotlight once, although it was every one minute and exceedingly irritating. (I had to turn off motion detection and then forgot to turn it back on and entered the patio in the dark after our walk. When I turned it back on, the constant alerts were no longer happening.) I tend occasionally to get false alerts from the spotlight above the front door, but that might be connected to the false notifications from the doorbell and motion detector. As for the Ring Bridge, my main complaint is needing it in the first place! I wish the Ring Spotlights worked like the Spotlight Camera, no bridge required. (I also wish Amazon or Ring would replace my two spotlights with free Ring Spotlight Cameras, but I don't see that happening soon...or ever!) I wish the all but useless Ring Outdoor Motion Detector didn't require a bridge. However, I haven't had problems I see in other reviews with the bridge, itself. I was surprised how small it is; from the display photo, I expected it to be about a 5" square, and it's 2"x2.5". I have it sitting right next to my modem and router on a shelf above my computer desk. I think people who think it needs to be mounted on the ceiling or window sill near the lights may be missing the concept. I think it needs to be near the modem/router wifi, not the linked devices. As I recall, I had minor problems with initial installation; my Echo Dot (or Echo Show, maybe) would tell me it had found the unit, and then the Ring app would say it couldn't connect. I think just resetting the bridge using the reset button resolved that issue, and I haven't had any connection problems since.Good for my moneyI like you can tailor the equipment with your needsWorks great. No issues.
