Please note that the new Catapult V6 SST70 has a slight difference in max output & beam distance than the old one because of the new update of the latest LED.
POWERFUL LONG THROW -- The Catapult V6 can produce a maximum output of 2836 lumens with an upgraded SST70 lens that produces a perfectly balanced beam with a distance up to 692 meters.
USB C RECHARGEABLE -- The V6 is powered by the included high capacity battery, which is easily recharged with the 2A charging port and provided charging cable.
Sept 2022 - I’ve only used it a few times, extremely bright. Too soon to know about durability or longevity. So far so good and definitely brighter than my mini van high beams, although it gets warm very quickly at max brightness and I suspect the battery won’t last long (yeah, I’m captain obvious).Only if I have a problem will I post an update, so no additional comments can be considered good news for the long term viability.badass small flashlight with true lumens. I am extremely happy with it. Long battery life before recharging. A little hard to learn how to use and power switch is small but worth the money. Will light up a cell tower from quite a distance. This is an amazing light! It will light up a house at 1000 feet on turbo mode. Other than being bright I love the power button. My old light was a click on / click off to go from Hi/Med/Low/Strobe/SOS. You never knew what setting woud come on when you pressed the power button. This light you set the power and every time you turn it on it stays at that setting, if you need turbo turn it on and double click it. Thumbs UP!!! A lot of power in a small package! This is an excellent tool!Purchased a Catapult V6 SST70 a view months ago and found it to be a decent, extremely bright flashlight. The Pros- its mass promotes a nice feel to the hand- four levels of brightness + strobe- traditional design- would I purchase another model for someone or suggest it to them? yes.The Cons- battery life could be improved- the barrel should be modified to include rubberized surface to improve grip in damp/wet conditions.- on/off button should have a roughed surface in contrast to the smoother machined surface of the barrel.A product has to truly impress me in order to write a review, so here I am. I'm a fairly frugal person who would typically frown upon spending this much money on a flashlight, but the truth is you can buy several cheaper ones or just buy this one.I've had this flashlight for nearly 6 months and after playing with the different high power modes (High and Turbo) the first few nights I had it, I gave it a full charge and started using it for "normal use". Normal use for me is daily use in the early morning and late at night while walking the dog (15 to 20 min) or doing the occasional household task that requires some light. For normal use as described, the low setting is more than adequate and performs the same as or better than most $20 to $30 flashlights, but here's the amazing thing to me. After 1 full charge and almost exclusive normal use, the flashlight is still running off of 1 charge about 5 1/2 months ago using the battery that shipped with the flashlight. Again, I typically operate on low, but not "fire-fly" which is another setting with a lower output good for basic indoor use. I'm sure I'll have to recharge it soon, but it has blown away every expectation I had. Before deciding on this purchase I did a lot of research into different brands a lumen outputs etc and I decided I wanted a beam "thrower", but wanted a decent amount of surrounding light as well. IMO this flashlight nails the best of both worlds. If I had to put numbers on it, it's say this is a 90% thrower and 10% "flood". It it VERY useful as a practical light, but gives you the satisfaction of casting an incredible beam. One last thing, this flashlight is a perfect size. It's on the smaller side and outperforms larger MagLites I have. There are lots of pics and vids available on YouTube, so I haven't posted anything, but I may try to get some night video of spotting some local wildlife.Bottom line is I'm very satisfied with this purchase!***Update 8/15/2020*** My initial review/opinion has not not changed. This flashlight continues serve everyday use and works just as well 1 1/2 years later.***Update 11/15/2021*** Still my every day go to flashlight!Utilize para mi trabajo me sibe mucho .. funciona mut bienFlashlight gets really hot, battery life is very short. Will not be buying anymore from this brandI bought this for use while out with my dogs at night so maybe I can see what the hell they're running after and maybe see potential hazards before they do. The torch is astonishing bright on turbo or high with an incredible amount of throw, 750m is claimed and I would say that's probably accurate. It replaces an Olight Seeker 2 Pro which cost 3 times as much but wasn't a fraction as good as this little monster. Olight had 3200 lumens, this has 1700 but it's far far brighter (concentrated hotspot) and knocks the Olight out of the park for throw. The catapult is extremely well engineered, it feels rock solid and very sturdy in your hand. Battery life is excellent for this kind of power, charging via supplied USB takes around 2.5 hours. I don't use turbo for more than 10 or 15 secs at a time, high is plenty bright. I use the torch most nights and even after a week, theres more than half the battery power left. My Olight would die after less than 30 mins on turbo and take a ridiculous 7 hours to charge. Although the catapult is designed to throw, it has a very healthy amount of flood which illuminates the ground immediately in front and both sides of you. I couldn't be happier with this little torch, it's an absolute beast. It wont fit comfortably in your jeans pocket, the head is a little wide, but that doesn't matter. Just stick it in your coat.Very highly recommended.I already had the original ThruNite Catapult V6, which is an awesome light in itself.I didn't think there would be enough difference between that and the new version, but I was wrong. The V6 was about 1700 lumens compared to around 2800 lumens in the V6 mk2, along with the improved SST70 LED doesn't just increase the light output but makes the beam spot larger and more intense. In the extremely low output moonlight mode, which is actually really useful when compared to the original.I can tail stand it on my side table in the bedroom, and there's enough light hitting the ceiling to give a comfortable flood of light. Add to that the 70 days of running time in this mode, you have a winner the next time you are stranded in a dark cave. The full-on Turbo mode gives a gobsmackingly bright spot at a long distance, I will worn of one caveat though. I had it in its pouch on my belt and wasn't aware that it had turned on until my side started to get very warm. A small turn of the body from the head and the problem is solved, just remember to tighten it again before use.In conclusion, would I recommend this flashlight? Absolutely yes! ??I have a Thrunite TN12 and love the quality and light output but when I saw this pop up with a discount I thought I'd give it a nudge.First impressions are it's heavy and feels great in the hand but as already mentioned the on/off/mode button is virtually impossible to find in the dark.In operation it is outrageously bright on turbo (so bright that some noisy youths assumed they were being lit up by a Police torch :) ) but on high it's no brighter than my TN12 on max.I guess you have to consider what you will be using this torch for, as it might be too heavy for casual use (walking the dog for E.G.) but ok for security. In conclusion:I love the build quality, price and the outrageous Turbo mode. What I dislike:The on/off/mode button being hard to find in the dark and it's a little too heavy for pocket carrying.I bought this because the street lights are off on my close and there has been a persistent problem with car break-ins. This is basically a hand held spot light/search light. You can’t really even use it on full power up close because the centre spot will be too dazzling. Although it has a low setting if you want to use it indoors etc.If you haven’t bought a quality torch before, you might think this is expensive. When you use something like this however, you realise it is actually pretty good value. An amazing bit of kit! Werde berichten, was sich daraus ergibt.2.
