Pro - light is bright and appears well made. Comes with one remote and two batteries. Light has a very long 12 vdc connection. First boating use - awesome!!Observation: there are only two magnets (fully disclosed). And there is room for another four magnets (not mentioned). Believe with six magnets in place this would provide an excellent metallic base.However, I was putting this on a boat, flat non metallic base. I removed the two magnets, made a template of the bottom and mounted a 1/4” white polypropylene with four (food grade kitchen blender ) 3” suction cups. Very strong adhesion to any flat non porous surface. 20x the adhesion vs the two magnets. If I had a metallic surface, believe six magnets would be well received and are easily availableYes, believe this is a very nice unit. The wireless control works, with battery life tbd. Yes, recommend this unit for metallic or non-metallic use as modified.7/14/2023 update - the light worked fine on the boat. Maybe I missed it, but it has a blinking light mode, likely for distress. Stumbled onto it, but likely in the directions. Here are some pictures of the modified mount on the boat window. It held firm in rough water, better than I expected. Actually better than a factory suction base I had yrs ago. Only used the light for maybe an hour - but very very bright.The remote works as intended, but in the dark, the buttons aren’t easy to find, but ok. Also, worry a little I may lose the separate remote. Perhaps wired controls for the boat application would be a good option.
